Your marketing person, minus the full-time hire.

when marketing is everyone's job...
It has a funny way of becoming no one’s job.
Someone updates the website when something breaks. Someone remembers you should probably send an email. Social gets attention for a few weeks, then things get busy. A new service launches and everyone realizes a little too late that no one made a plan to market it.
Nothing is necessarily wrong. But there’s no one consistently looking at the whole picture.
That’s the role I step into.
I get to know the business, what you’re working toward, and what’s already on your plate. Then I help decide what deserves our attention and keep it moving.
NOT A PRESET MARKETING PACKAGE
Because I don’t know what you need yet.
I’m not going to sell every business the same combination of social posts, emails, blogs, and website updates just because they fit neatly into a package.
Your marketing should be based on your business. Depending on what we’re working toward, our work together could include:
Marketing Strategy + Planning
Figuring out what we’re trying to accomplish, what’s worth doing, and where our attention should go next.
Website Support
Keeping your Wix website current as the business changes, from messaging and content updates to new pages and improvements.
Content + Social
Coming up with useful things to say and helping turn those ideas into content people might actually want to see.
Campaigns + Promotions
Planning and executing the marketing around new services, events, seasonal priorities, promotions, or other things worth talking about.
Email Marketing
Planning, writing, designing, and sending emails when email makes sense for the business.
Creative Support
The graphics, marketing materials, landing pages, and other pieces that inevitably come with getting good ideas out into the world.

ONGOING, WITHOUT BEING ALL-CONSUMING
Here’s how we work together.
01
get on the same page
We’ll start by getting clear on your business, what you’re working toward, what’s already happening, and where marketing tends to get stuck.
02
SET the PRIORITIES
We’ll figure out what deserves our attention first and build your marketing around the actual goals of the business—not a generic checklist of things you’re “supposed” to be doing.
03
I KEEP THINGS MOVING
From there, I plan, guide, and execute the work included in our retainer. You’ll know what we’re working on, what I need from you, and what’s coming next.
04
ADJUST AS WE GO
Businesses change. Priorities change. Marketing should be allowed to change with them. We’ll regularly look at what’s ahead and adjust where our time is going when it makes sense.

more than a set of deliverables
Someone paying attention.
Of course your retainer includes actual work. We’ll agree on what that looks like before we begin. But the value of Ongoing Marketing isn’t just the number of emails I write or website updates I make in a month.
It’s having someone who notices the service you haven’t talked about lately. Who remembers the event coming up next month. Who can tell you when an idea is worth pursuing—and when you can probably let it go.
Someone who knows enough about your business to help you make better marketing decisions without needing a three-email backstory every time. That’s the point.
good fit
This probably makes sense if...
→ Your business and brand are already established.
→ Marketing matters to the business, but no one has the time or experience to really own it.
→ You have plenty of ideas and opportunities, but they don’t always make it from “we should…” to done.
→ You want strategic guidance, but you also need someone who can roll up their sleeves and help execute.
→ You value having one person who gets to know the business instead of coordinating a revolving door of freelancers.
→ You’re looking for a long-term marketing relationship, not just help with one project.

not the right fit
We probably aren't a match if...
→ You’re still figuring out the business itself or need branding/brand identity.
→ You’re looking for a high-volume content or social media package.
→ You want someone to execute a predetermined list without asking whether those things are actually worth doing.
→ You need a large agency with specialists assigned to every marketing channel.
→ You’re looking for guaranteed leads, followers, rankings, or other promises I can’t responsibly make.
→ You really only need help with one specific thing. In that case, a VIP Day or Website Sprint may make more sense.
the investment
No two retainers look exactly alike.
Ongoing Marketing is customized based on the kind of support your business needs, the amount of work we’re taking on, and how involved you need me to be.
After I learn more about your business and what you’re looking for, I’ll recommend a scope and monthly investment that makes sense.
Because I stay personally involved in the work, I only take on a small number of ongoing clients at a time.

DON’T NEED SOMEONE EVERY MONTH?
One good day might be enough.
If your marketing is generally under control and there’s just one thing you need to finally tackle, you probably don’t need an ongoing retainer.
A VIP Day gives you my full attention for the day to work through one focused marketing priority—strategy, Wix website updates, a landing page, or hands-on marketing support.
A Few Things You Might Be Wondering
It depends on the business. Strategy, campaigns, email marketing, Wix website support, content, social media, creative work, and other marketing needs can all be part of the conversation. We’ll agree on a specific scope before we begin.
Not quite. I’m one person, and I think that’s part of the appeal. You work directly with me, and we’re intentional about what I take on rather than trying to make Mad Cook Media responsible for every possible marketing function.
Social media can be part of our work together when it makes sense, but I don’t offer standalone social media management packages or build retainers around feeding the algorithm.
Not necessarily. We’ll have an agreed scope and expectations, but I want enough flexibility to respond to what’s actually happening in the business. If one month needs more campaign support and another needs website work, we should be able to have that conversation.
Yes. Ongoing Marketing begins with an initial three-month commitment. That gives me enough time to get to know your business, understand what’s working, and get into a good rhythm with the work instead of trying to judge everything after the first few weeks.
After the initial three months, we can continue working together as long as it makes sense for both of us.
That’s probably a better fit for a VIP Day. If you need a completely new Wix website, take a look at Website Sprints instead.
I'll keep an eye on it.
You keep running the business. I’ll help make sure marketing doesn’t become the thing everyone keeps meaning to get to. Tell me a little about your business, what marketing looks like right now, and where you could use the help.
We’ll figure out if Ongoing Marketing makes sense from there.
